There were some place names that I read in my guide and I wanted to visit them, such as Marsaskala, Birzebbugia, Dingli Cliffs, the Blue Grotto…… Also, I hadn’t visited the Three Cities and I wanted to visit these historical towns.

Coast Sight Seeing - Carina’s Blog

I chose the tour in the booklet Maureen gave me. I wanted to make “Gozo and Comino full day “, but it wasn’t possible. So, I chose the “Coast Sight Seeing” scheduled on next Sunday. In the evening, I had dinner in Sliema, then, I watched a film with a friend “the last King of Scotland”, a film based on a real story, it tells the fictional story of Dr. Nicholas Garrigan a young Scottish doctor who travels to Uganda and becomes the personal physician to the dictator Idi Amin. Then, I realised that in one week, I will prepare my back in France…..peculiar feelings……

Gift from Alpha School and Going out - Carina’s Blog

At Alpha School, I spoke with Maureen about about my work. She gave me a booklet and offered me a tour in Malta as a compliment from the school. In the evening, we went to the cinema with Clémentine, Chloé and Elya, to see a film called “I love you Beth Cooper”, it was a funny evening and coming back to our flat we continued laughing and played a game which consisted of asking questions to find a character written on a paper that was attributed to each of us.

Today, I had English lessons in the morning, for the moment, it’s the day where we are a lot of students in the school. Our teacher was April. One new French student, Laure, has arrived, she is an intern too and is taking the same degree as Clémentine and Chloé, to become a personal assistant. In the evening, with the other students and Benjamin’s cousins, we went to the Superbowl in Paceville. After, Benjamin suggested we go and have dinner at his flat. We spent a very nice and funny evening and practiced speaking in English.

Going round Malta - Carina’s Blog

I went to Mosta to visit the Dome; then, I visited the town following information given by my tourist guide. In the afternoon, I went to Mellieha to visit “Notre Dame de La Victoire” its sanctuary and Virgin’s cave. After, I walked in the town and in Mellieha Bay. Later, my Maltese friend, called me and asked me to go at his home. We watched “Happy feet”. It was hard to understand everything but it’s a good exercise. In the evening, we went to Paceville.

Fourth Week in Malta - Carina’s Blog

I have done the first half of my internship. I haven’t met a lot of difficulties. The biggest was when I was scratched by a cat and my leg hurt. I went to the chemist - she gave me an antibiotic cream and asked me if I had been vaccinated for tetanus in the last 10 years. I didn’t remember exactly the period, so I had to call my family to check. Two French girls, Chloe and Clementine, have joined me in my apartment at Island View. It will be nice not to live alone until I leave but we have to try to speak English together, otherwise our efforts to improve our English skills will be useless.

Working on my English - Carina’s Blog

I spent a part of this day in a shop where a man works as a seller. I met him when I arrived in Malta and since that moment we have kept in touch. He helps me with pronunciation and corrects my sentences. It’s nice to speak English outside of School. Then, in the evening I went to Bugibba and Qawra.
